Positive principles AND PRACTICES OF NON-AVERSIVE BEHAVIOUR
Non-aversive behavioural supports to manage and reduce dangerous and disruptive client behaviours, utilize positive behavioral supports to introduce more appropriate behaviours, and recognize and respond appropriately to the programming needs of clients of all ages.

- Understand the difference of aversive and non-aversive behavioural change.
- Understand the effect of labels, stereotypes, beliefs and barriers of clients.
- Be familiar with the definitions of antecedent behaviour and consequences.
- Understand their role when implementing a program including areas such as consistency, appropriate documentation and the agency's policies and procedures.
